Administration of the Junior Judo Rank System:

The Director of the Standards and Certification committee is responsible for administering the USA Judo Junior Judo Rank System.  The system will be administered as follows..

Only one form will be used in the USA Judo Junior Judo Rank System.  This is the USA Judo Junior Membership and Promotion Form. You can link onto this form at the bottom of the page. This form will be used for new member registration, for renewal of registration, and for all promotions.

The Coach can register each club member by using the following options:

1)     Go to the USA Judo website, and use a credit card to complete the membership. www.usajudo.org

2)     Complete the USA Judo membership form and fax it to the USA Judo National Office with credit card information at the fax number listed above.

3)     Enclose a check or money order.

Note: An E-Mail address should be provided if possible.  The members registration card will be mailed to the Coach.

USA Judo National Office personnel will process each registration and mail the new member’s card to the Coach.

All new members must be registered as either white belt beginners, or with current rank granted by other USA Judo recognized rank granting authorities.  I.E. USJA, USJF, or any foreign federation.  New members who have played Judo for many years, and have unrecognized rank may be validated immediately to the rank within  the USA Judo Junior Judo Rank System that they can successfully demonstrate.

When new members are immediately validated to a junior rank, coaches must follow the guidelines in the table of maximum ranks for new members according to ages listed below and complete the promotion form.
